Dr. Guy Otteson is a native of Bismarck. He graduated from the University of North Dakota in 1976 and earned a doctorate from the Illinois College of Optometry in 1980. He joined Dakota Eye Institute in 1991. Dr. Otteson enjoys golfing, wildlife photography, bird hunting and many woodworking and woodturning projects, including building a cedar strip canoe, sailboat and exotic wood cutting boards. He also spends time at his farmstead planting food plots and habitat for wildlife. He and his wife have three sons and three grandchildren. Dr. Kyle Otteson is one of his sons.
